July/August ‘23 - Gear Up!
Ah, the beach and summertime! But for me, a time to really work on my TPT store. So this summer, after listening to many, many YouTube videos, I am trying to create more product, bundle products and create an email list. This means I am working on several projects at one time! Whew! So several beach trips are on hold as I sit in front of my computer.
May ‘23 - End of Year Already?
The end of the year approaches again. I have students rate my activities/units for the year. Be sure to ask them to explain why they liked or disliked the activity/unit. This let’s me know if I need to revamp a particular lesson. Take time to write notes about the year - what you loved, what you hated, what you might try next year.
April ‘23 - Moving Forward
April always replaces the winter blues. It is time to countdown the weeks for the school year to end and prepare to regroup and revamp my curriculum. I started a Pinterest Board to share links to my products.
March ‘23 - Continue to push
Nearing the end of the year, I panic concerning what I did not manage to teach yet. So I regroup, make a list, and schedule out as many units as I can fit in the remaining weeks.
February ‘23 - Time for Growth
I find that February is the month I see real growth in my students. Routines have been established and the minutes of learning are maximized.
January ‘23 - Fresh Start
A new year with lots of possibilities for your curriculum. Over the break I began planning where I wanted to direct the content learning for my students.
December ‘22 - Finishing Strong
End of the semester challenges require lots of patience and a ‘go with it’ attitude. Students are tired, you are tired.
November ‘22 - Focus Wanes
It is now my favorite time of the year…the holidays! Keeping students on track is my goal for my 2 elective classes.
October ‘22 - Content Begins
October is always one of the longest teaching months of the school year. Students reviewed with you in September and now the content teaching begins.
September ‘22 - Gratifying Success
Amazing to me were the total number of products I sold on TPT in August! I created a step by step product for a Journalism elective and there was a definite need for my work.
August - Always Awesome
Literally every August I become obsessed. My desire for summer and time to spend has dissipated and I am eagerly awaiting the first day of school.
June - Purpose driven …
Vacation for relaxation and family time is what I look forward to every June.
